Web Accessibility Policy

The federal government requires its agencies to comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C. 794d, Section 508, subpart B 1194.22 "Web-based intranet and internet information and applications” (“Section 508”). The law does not require compliance because Eye Associates of Southwest Florida is a private entity. Nonetheless, Eye Associates aspires to make its Web pages as accessible as is practicable.

• Phone numbers are displayed prominently as to be read by accessibility tools to allow persons with disability to call and schedule an appointment.
• Pages are designed without flickering.
• The use of plug-ins are not used which force users to have to read additional screens in order to see a functionality on websites.
• All important information is displayed in text-form, allowing readability of the entire website.
• A link in the footer of each page in the website is provided to our accessibility policy.
• An e-mail link in the footer of each page in the website is provided to contact the Eye Associates practice to raise any ADA related issues.
